Nanay Antonieta “Nia” Ortigas is the mother of our sister Sky Ortigas, a former CFC fulltime missionary, and a committed servant of God through the CFC community and her work with the CBCP.

Last week, Nanay Nia was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. She also has diabetes and myasthenia gravis as co-morbidities. Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which antibodies destroy the communication between nerves and muscle, resulting in weakness of the skeletal muscles. She recently had to undergo hemoperfusion, hoping to clean her blood.

With her condition now, the family is sincerely asking for prayers to favor Nanay Nia with complete healing and extension of life. If you may, you can also extend any financial help the family needs.
