A Nice hello to everyone who gets to read this! I'm Pao, the son of Visitacion Jorge. I would like to share our story hoping you could help us with our situation.

Our nanay is our super mom, me and my 2 sisters grew up seeing her as a strong determined type of person. Ever since we were young we saw how our mother did her best to raise and provide for us. She did everything on her own to provide a comfortable life for us even though our father has a speech disability. For years we saw how she stood to be our father and mother at the same time. She struggled a lot raising us but we saw how she never stopped giving the best she could for her loved ones. I think that's just how every mother would be, they would do everything even if they have to sacrifice their own.

She tried every possible job she could to earn and provide our family’s needs. Year 2008 just a month before my sister`s bday my nanay’s right foot was amputated because of diabetes, life has been difficult for her during that time but we never saw her cried because of her situation. We never saw her got frustrated and demotivated because of that. The amputation she had back when we were young never stopped her to continue life. I admired so much how her disability did not stop her to move forward. Every day she was still the same nanay we knew while we were growing, the same hardworking person we knew. With the help of her prosthetic leg after few months from her operation she has tried her best to be able to walk again. Eventually, she was able to walk again on her own and continued the usual things she does as if she was a normal person like she was before. Now, after 12 years had passed just this September same procedure has to be done for her left foot as it has become the source of her infection/sepsis already. This time we her children has to decide for her. It was with a sad heart to agree to do the procedure because we know for her it was her only hope to live normally again, but It was the only option we have at the moment to save her because of her 50/50 situation.

Becoming sick during this time was most difficult and complicated not only because we have the threat of COVID but most hospitals has no vacancy for admission. Despite this, fortunately we were able to bring her to an available hospital where she got treated. Her diagnosis was Sepsis with foot gangrene, and was also tested positive for COVID. Unfortunately, this Covid added to the burden that we are all already feeling. The situation became even more complicated and difficult to imagine when she tested positive. Due to her weak body and being of high risk, COVID added to her life threatening situation she has to be intubated and hooked to a ventilator for weeks. She was admitted in intensive care unit for days then eventually after 10 days was transferred to a normal room but still on a ventilator. In the span of 27 days our nanay has gone through a lot, she even had to undergo tracheostomy.

We would like to knock on your hearts and humbly ask for your assistance to help us fund her confinement. As her family our thoughts will always be wanting to give her our support in every way we can to save her life. However, the situation is we do not have the resources to cover the costly amount of her medication. When my mother was in ICU our thoughts are worried of her, not seeing her personally and while we deeply pray for her recovery to get through this critical situation. Our hospital bill amounted to figures we have never imagined.

We have tried to reach out to each and every available institution, friends, relatives and other people we could think of to ask for financial help but still is not enough to cover this huge amount we owe the hospital. That’s why setting up this campaign is one of the ways we could think of to help us fund our nanay’s medical and confinement needs. Up to this date she is still on ventilator because of her pneumonia. Any amount of donation would greatly help us and will be highly appreciated.

Thank you Always, Stay Safe Always and Godbless..
