Campaign Story
My dad had a stroke on the 3rd of August 2019. Due to financial difficulties, we, his immediate family, had to send him to an NGO home run by the Salvation Army in Cape Town for rehabilitation. With your help, we can pay for his daily needs at the home, which includes nappies and can arrange transport to see our father daily.
He was always an active man, walking to the stores and being the caretaker of our complex, he was always busy doing what he loved – working and being outdoors. Wherever he went, he told people how blessed he was. He was always encouraging to others and loved making people smile. Now the last thing I want is to see my dad go into depression. He unfortunately may never work again and this will definitely affect his life.
I have volunteered to help at the home with graphic design work such as a brochure which they need and with social media as it's in my nature to give back. I also intend to do some photography for their website etc. I would love to create a photographic journal too but for now, I just need to make sure he stays positive while we as a family can support him in the best way we can.
We are appealing for your help, even the smallest amount will mean so much to us and it will make a positive impact on my dad’s life - to get him what he needs while he is getting rehabilitation and the ongoing needs when he is at home. We are trusting God he comes home soon.

Dad is home
Update posted by Tertia Janse van Rensburg at 05:30 pmOn 18 August, Sunday morning, my mom woke up saying she wants her husband home. He suffers from horrible heartburn so much so his esophagus burns to the extent a doctor once said a few years ago it was blood red and raw. At the rehab home he suffered badly. . . . .
