MEDICAL STUDENT IN NEED

My name is Mthobisi Sibisi, I am 26 years old from Kwazulu Natal, Durban at Umlazi. I am a bit introverted person but I know how to work in a team and lead effectively. I like to read and study books on self growth and wisdom during my spare time, I also have deep interest in technology and computer advancement of the world. I am very concerned with how society perceives me as I am studying towards becoming a Doctor of medicine. In my qualification it is very important to get along with the community and that means being matured and presentable at all times. I am currently in my 5th year of Bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery at Sefako Makgatho health sciences university as evident by the attached student card and school fee report dated 2019. Medicine is a difficult and long course but with dedication and passion it is very much do-able. It does become challenging though, particularly on the family and social aspects. I have problems maintaining focus and energy sometimes due to the fact that sometimes I go to bed after a long day of ward rounds without eating a proper meal. I come from a large family of about 12 members, two quarters of which are unemployed and money is a very major difficulty. My mother passed on at the age of 5 and I grew up with my grandfather and grandmother before I could meet my father. In 2007 I eventually met my father and he has been very supportive, he works as a teller at Ithala bank in Durban but due to a large number of family members and the fact that he is a breadwinner at home, he is sometimes unable to send me food and cosmetic money. I would be very much grateful if I could receive this funding opportunity as I have run out of options. I was not selected for NSFAS this year and also I've been struggling to get the government municipality bursary or any another bursary for that matter. I am a hard working person and I would like to make a promise that I will not disappoint. I was hoping that Go get funding could help me finish off the 2 years that are remaining(2019 and 2020). I would like support with book allowance, the tuition and food allowance.
