First and foremost, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this. 💖
Mikkell Angelito Biliran-Pondoc.
21 years old. A person who exhibits kindness, humility and love towards everyone he knows. He is known to be very kind, soft-spoken, generous, selfless and loving. Always trying to take part of a role in the community, he has always been a man of service through simple roles such as being a student body president in his highschool years and as an organization officersl in his college years. He always wants to put others first. In fact, he longed to become a lawyer someday and help people especially those who are not financially capable. He is currently a first year law student at the University of San Carlos.
Since last July 14, 2019 (Sun), he had a fever and was brought to the hospital on July 16, 2019 (T) where he was confirmed to have dengue. He was admitted to the hospital and had a platelet count of 40k and dropped to 6k as days passed. Normal platelet count is between 140k to 440k. Additionally, he had diarrhea since July 17, 2019 (W) and his stool contained blood. It was confirmed that he had amoebiasis as well. He was battling both dengue and ameobiasis.
He had platelet apheresis to help improve his platelet count. The transfusions resulted to a count that reached back up to 20k on July 19, 2019 (F). We were also told that he was on the road to recovery.
However a day after, July 20, 2019 (Sat), he had a cardiac arrest and went flatline, he was gone but was revived by doctors. Shortly after the arrest, he had a seizure and was advised to be brought to the medical ICU after a CT Scan.
The dengue virus welcomed more illnesses such as viral myocarditis, poor lung function, and kidney and liver complications.
He is currently given endotracheal intubation, nasogastric intubation, internal jugular catheter, and a urinary catheter.
As of July 22 (M), his platelet count rose to 30k.
His creatinine is high and might need a nephrologist.
He had a 2nd seizure inside the medical ICU last July 22 (M) at 1am and a 3rd last July 23 (T) at 11pm.
First and second CT scans were negative from any blood clots. However, now he is experiencing viral encephalitis and recently, examined in his stool is salmonella shigella.
With all these complications, Mikko is in need of medications that cost 50,000 pesos per day. Our financial resources are already depleting and we have reached the insurance limit.
ICU confinement is costly and a separate daily 50k added up to the bill.
And so, we are here, asking humbly for your assistance. Any amount you can share, along with your prayers to help us get through this ordeal.
Mikko is fighting. He is always a fighter. He will get through this. Mikko is fighting and his family as well. Pls help us in this battle.
Heartfelt thank yous to all your generous hearts and for taking time to read this. God bless you and your family.
We thank you for sparing time to read through this. A little amount will be highly appreciated but so are your prayers. We are not forcing any funds raised. This is for those who are whole-heartedly wishing to give more apart from prayers.
We humbly ask for your prayers 🙏✨
We are in this together.
This is for one of the best people on earth.
We give you many thanks. God bless your hearts and your families. ❤️✨
