Help Mia live free from kidney disease

In 1998 Mia Was diagnosed with poor functioning kidney.

She first began to feel symptoms worsening in early 2020.

Mia is our Social Media Marketing manager and one of our hardest working team members. She is an amazing human being who devotes almost all of her spare time to care for abandoned and homeless pets.

Mia desperately needs a kidney operation. Her symptoms continue to get worse. Even though she raises money for stray and abandoned animals, she's not the type of person willing to ask for help herself. Mia always wants to keep a positive happy attitude and never shares her difficulties.

We were on a Skype call two weeks ago after she had taken a very difficult trip to Bucharest to see a kidney specialist. I'd ask how she was feeling and she responded that she was extremely dizzy. I told her to go lie down and stop working, but she replied that it was worse when she was lying down.

I had no idea how hard it has been for Mia... the pain she was suffering and the difficulty finding the right care in her country.

In the United States, the operation she needs is called Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy (LPN) and is a simple incision and sometimes done through robotic assistance. They do not have this capability in Moldova.

Moldova is a country of extremely hard-working good human beings, but a poor country, largely ignored by the Free World after the breakup of the Soviet Union.

What bothered me the most was when Mia and I were talking and I asked her when she was getting the operation. She responded that she did not have enough money and that's when I talked to some of our team members to see what we could do.

We are a startup and have very little additional resources other than what's needed for payroll and running the business. However we are going to donate as much as we can but still need help.

Moldova does not have a health plan for people like Mia, those that are not employed by the state. Moldova has a very poor Healthcare System, and citizens need to pay for the majority of their own health care.

The operation, post-surgery care, medication, follow-up visits to the doctor in Bucharest, travel expenses will be over $25,000 US. So far, we have amassed $3,000 US. Any contribution will be highly appreciated.

Mia is such a kind and loving soul, who just like every being on earth deserves a life full of joy, free from any physical challenges of this magnitude.
