In today's world, every other person journey through life with a medical condition(s) and it has somehow become an acceptable norm in current day society, but then, what if you have a chance to rectify it? Would you?
He is as adorable as every other baby...
He is as energetic as every other baby...
He is as caring as every other baby...
But then, Khaleel just 10 months of age was diagnosed with a rare medical condition on his left leg, Pseudarthrosis of tibia, without any reason the bone will get fractured and does not heal properly. The leg does not function properly and that was news that hit us extremely hard, however we weren’t ready to give up on him.
We started enquiring on the possibilities of rectifying this condition our baby boy had and started speaking to Surgeons in UAE and all over India. Though they were ready to help, they assured us that the procedure was extremely risky, and there were chances that it could even lead to amputating our baby’s leg entirely. We were heartbroken and felt hopeless and had hit a wall instead of making any progress.
We don’t know if it was God’s blessings or sheer luck, but we were able hear about Dr Paley and his work, through another family totally unknown to us. Their little girl was suffering from a similar condition our Khaleelu had and Dr Paley and his team was able to successfully correct the issue and make sure that that the little girl had a shot at a normal life. On hearing the news, I couldn’t stop myself from getting excited, which mother wouldn’t want to give her child the best life possible? I did my homework, checked the stats, enquired with other leading Surgeons and obviously went through YouTube videos of “Paley Orthopaedic and Spine Institute”. We were 200% confident if anyone could help our baby it was this team and we decided to walk this path.
Now at this point we spoke to Dr. Paley and his team and they studied our son’s condition and gave us their word that the condition can be rectified. They also told us that the cost of surgery would be USD 87,000, which works to be INR 62,00,000 (not including post-surgery charges).
My husband working here, he will take almost 5 to 6 years to come up with such an amount. But he is growing, and he is currently 4 years old, because of this we do not have the privilege of time. As he is growing, his bones are not only getting stronger but also stiffer. The doctors say we have hardly 6 to 8 months to do the procedure, post which it will be too late for our baby.
Due to the criticality of the situation and time against us, I as a mother of a suffering baby is desperately requesting your help. Help me so that I can help him, and I assure you that every penny of your money will be paid back within a period of next 6 years
Also, when you help me kindly send me the details of your bank account, which you are sure will be active for the next 6 years. I know that it is your hard earned saving, and I know how hard it really is to save, but I also know that I will return your saving, back to you every single penny of it.
I am sorry if I have disturbed you but then, again I am not sorry for requesting. As deep down within, I know that I am not doing anything extra special than what any other Mom or Dad may do, when it comes to their little angel.
My name is Simi and this is the story of my son, Master Khaleel.
I would like to end like I have started... In today's world, every other person journey through life with a medical condition(s) and it has somehow become an acceptable norm in current day society, but then, what if you have a chance to rectify it? Would you?
