Keathan Hendricks is 17 years old, who has already suffered 2 strokes and contracted infectious endocarditis (blood related infection). This resulted in him having to undergo brain surgery to remove blood clots, open heart surgery to replace his mitrol valve and he had contracted meningitis, which as a result sustained severe nerve damage in his ear, leading to hearing loss.
As a grade 11 student, due to his condition, he is now unable to attend school, which is all he has been speaking about as his friends are all in matric this year. His heart's desire is truly to complete both grade 11 and 12. Home schooling is our best bet at this moment in time and with that, we sit with the barrier of medication costs, special dietary needs due to being on blood thinner, as well as finding him a caretaker as well, as his parents are not able to afford to stay out of work or quit their jobs to look after him.
Keathan has always been a very talkative and enthusiastic young boy, but has now been extremely discouraged by his current situation. Therefore, we, as a family, are trying to raise as much funds as possible to assist Keathan and motivate him to find his passion and path again.
We really appreciate your assistance in advance and hope we that we are able to make a difference in his matter. The mission is to ensure his happiness and health flourishes once again and remains constant for the future to come.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
