At dawn we are awakened seeing him revived by the doctors that his chest get flattened already but his heart rate is slowly dropping. We applied some healing oil on his chest and decided to stop the pumping as it seem to tear his soft body apart. We prayed together with the doctors and nurses around and asked the will of the Father in heaven. Then we bade goodbye to baby as his feet and hands turn pale and cold. We let him go so he can rest well and be at peace in Heaven with his brother Francesco.

His condition is getting worse. His oxygen is maximized and his body is no longer responding to the medications. With some healing oil he showed some movement of the eyes, mouth, and body.

FI/O2/Milk: 50%/50%/0 mL

With just 0.5mL his stomach grow bigger and glows. So they decided to stop the feeding. They also increased the air settings to 50% both FI and O2. We ask the local priest to baptize him and anoint some oil. We are encouraged knowing that there are cases much worse than Julian's. Some went out after 3 months. Some started at 500g. Some get extubated then intubated again. Some were not allowed to eat also due to stomach enlargement. Physically he is weak. Please help us pray that Julian will be able to go home alive even with eye glasses already.

FI/O2/Milk: 40%/30%/0.5 mL

Desaturation happens when the oxygen level in the blood drops. This is usually averted by suctioning the lungs and stomach on a daily basis every 3 hrs. But this one seems different. We still have no idea what was done to maintain the 80+ average level. Good news is that freshly extracted milk is slowly introduced at 0.5ml every 6 hrs. Please help us pray that this will help Julian repair himself.

FI/O2/Milk: 40%/30%/0 mL

His xray shows that his intestines are still dilated. Antibiotics are continuously given and now antifungal are also added. At that low level his stats are good. His energy is high. The main battle now is the infection in the tummy. Blood transfusion is given since he is loosing some platelets so when he is pricked for sugar test, blood flow is hard to stop. Please help us pray for him.

FI/O2/Milk: 40%/40%/0 mL

According to pulmonary fellows this is a very good sign that Julian can tolerate low level setting. But previously he was able to tolerate at even lower setting of 21 and 10 corresponding to FI and O2. Still some brown secretions coming from his stomach are visible so feeding is still not feasible. In this case different medications have been given but it seems like his stomach is not responding. At this point we would like to ask more prayers.

It seems like complications are piling up the more he stays on ventilation system. His left eye veins are collapsing so blood are visible on the sides. This means, oxygen are not reaching his eye. This can still be corrected through medication and laser but this will be dealt with after tubes are extracted. His right eye is still premature.

FI/O2/Milk: 40%/45%/0 mL

His weaning continues at a slow pace without milk. His stats are good: heart rate at 150 and oxygen at 92. At low level FIO2, we observe he sleeps most of the time unlike when the levels are high. There are still minor stains of blood in his tube as indication of infection in the stomach. Hopefully it will be cleared so he can drink milk again.

Thank you so much everyone for your generosity and empathy to our situation. We are so sorry to inform you that Julian didn’t make it on Earth. We prayed a lot and it seems like the Will of the Father in Heaven is for him to rest and be set apart from any stain of sin. He only waited for his baptism and God spared him time enough to settle us down.
