Help rebuild our Mamu’s heart

To all our friends and relatives,

We're reaching out in this difficult time, as our beloved mother, Praxie, or much better known by everyone as Mamu or Tita Prax, recently had a mild stroke and a heart attack.

Our mother has been a pillar of strength in our family for 62 years. Her deep faith in God and warm heart has touched the lives of many. She is the kind of person who opens our home to anyone and makes them feel family in an instant. However, she's now facing a health challenge that requires all of our support.

Mamu’s heart was diagnosed with a dangerous condition that requires open heart surgery in the soonest possible time. She is currently in the process of being kept stable to return in good shape for her to qualify for a heart bypass, scheduled on February 2024. Her hypertension and diabetes management are under strict monitoring and she would have to be able to at least learn how to walk again or eat on her own.

The costs of the surgery, hospital stay, medications, and pre/post op procedures would surely balloon into a substantial amount that we are struggling to manage. We may be used in believing in taking care of our own, but we humbly recognize that we cannot do this alone.

We are reaching out to all our friends, relatives and any kindhearted individual who may be willing to help us, as we cross this “Jordan River” of our lives -- (as how our mom would always describe it when our family encounters a difficult storm). She would always tell us that any raging river can be crossed by the grace of God. Because in Jesus, any stormy weather has no choice but to subside, since he himself faced them already for us. Crossing the Jordan River is overcoming death.

All of your support will not only ease the financial stress but will also render Mamu the peace of mind to just focus on her being in full recovery.

All of us, her three children (Aujan, Patrick and Keren), together with our partners and Mamu’s grandchildren, are determined to see our Mamu regain her strength and well-being; and your contribution, no matter the amount, will help us reach our goal one step at a time. Your prayers and well-wishes matter equally.
