Campaign Story
This page has been set up on behalf of a pastor I know in Nepal, who's home village lies in South India.
The pastor has helped to set up a project working with needy and poor communities in Parchur and its surrounding villages, nearly 24 in total. Their headquarters is located in Mandal.
A Christian missionary organisation called ‘Soapbox’ helped build a home for widows in Parchur.
At present they have no ongoing support for food, clothing, and basic services such as medical care.
They have no land available to grow crops, and many of the widows are too old to work. However the pastor is looking at the possibility of helping them set up a micro-business, making goods in order to support themselves to some degree.
A Web page has been set up, which can be found at http://www.cross.tv/profile/206429?go=about&aid=3909.
