According to the National Center for Children in Poverty, “…poverty is the single greatest threat to children’s well-being. Poverty can impede children’s ability to learn and contribute to social, emotional, and behavioral problems.”
Homeownership is a gateway to the middle class as well as a catalyst for social and economic empowerment.
Ninety-two percent of families remain in their home. Surveys of recipients reflect that there is an increased belief in the attainability of education for themselves and their children. The majority of Homes for the Holiday recipients (82%) felt that home stability would enable them and their dependents to seek desired education
