Hi,

My Name is Saqib, i am 22 and currently a student who was born and raised in London. Two years ago i went to a city named Mirpur in Pakistan, first time ever in my life i went back home to where my parents were raised and born.

I was so nervous but at the same time excited to see a different way of life, society and culture. At this point all i could think in my head was the amount of fun i was going to have. I was mainly thinking about:

-How much fun i was going to have

-What was i going to do while im there

-Will i be able to get to wifi and communicate with friends and family back in the UK

-Do i need to buy extra things ect

Thats what everyone tends to do, do you agree? Its normal, when anyone plans on going on a holiday your happy, feeling postive, gaining postive thoughts, imagining what your going to do.

I landed at Islamabad Airport, the first thing i felt when i got off the plan was the heat, humidity and smell in the atmosphere. After about 10/15mins because of the heat i felt very thirsty, so i decided before i get into the car let me grab a quick drink. I got to the shop now, bought my drink and was making my way out, i looked down and saw this little kid probably around the age of 7/8 asking me if i wanted my shoes cleaned, i looked at him and felt so sorry for him that i gave him a £10 note that i had which was worth quite abit in pakistani rupees, but you know what he said to me, in urdu, he returned the money back to me and said 'I don't want this money, i haven't earned it' i looked at him and thought wow any other child would have taken it which is completely understandable but this one even though i could tell how unfortunate he was financially, that even after someone offering him free money he wouldn't accept it.

You guys are probably thinking, what sort of campaign is this, tbh its just something personally i wanted to share with you guys.

Im going to visit Pakistan on the 02/11/16 for 2 weeks, however this time i have personally raised £1280 through friends, family, neighbours ect so far and was wondering if anyone would like to donate any amount even if its a small amount, every penny matters. With this money im planning on going to villages mainly based around the town Mirpur and helping out the less fortunate by supplying them with clothes, water and food.

I understand that there probably are better causes for you to donate on here, but this to me is something i've just wanted to do since my last trip. It made me reflect back to 2 years ago when i was getting ready to fly out to Pakistan and all i was constantly thinking of was me, me and me but this time i want to go out there and help people only because i have the facilities and the chance to help them out. If i was in their shoes i would probably want some sort of help if i was in the state they were in.

Thank You for taking out some of your time to read this.

I hope you all stay happy and smiling :)
