Helping Team Ramos

Update - My husband is six months today (after being reborn at transplant). Camilo is doing well overall. He's had many many challenges along the way: infections, two post-transplant hospitalizations, more infections, liver, eyes, bladder, intestinal, nail and skin reactions to the transplant, more infections, hearing loss in his left ear, and not to mention the desperation and feeling of imprisonment from only being allowed to leave the house for weekly clinical visits. Through it all he has managed to stay positive, strong, and be a motivator to those around him, especially me. Many of you have been fundamental in helping us through this journey especially financially and through heartfelt prayer. The money you have donated has helped with our medical expenses but as you may well know, a new year means a new start to medical deductibles. In the past week, we have payed over $3000 for his much needed post-transplant meds and we still have ways to go. Once again, we ask that you please help us with monetary donations to assist with the purchase of these very expensive medicines. If you cannot help financially, prayer for continued healing is always welcome. Thank you again for all that you have done to help our family. Update - Hubby has been in the hospital a little over two weeks (one week post transplant) and has had his good days and his bad days. We've had many visitors and thoroughly enjoy their company as that helps us get through the monotony of being trapped within four walls. Our kids have been able to come and see daddy which has been a tremendous blessing for the four of us allowing us to spend quality time as a family and be supportive of each other as we go through this process. We can't wait for daddy to come home and the family to be reunited under the same roof once again. We thank everyone who has kept up with our progress and has had us in their thoughts and prayers. We couldn't do this without the endless support everyone has provided. Many of you have helped with contributions and we are extremely grateful. Camilo was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2013. Since then, he has been undergoing intensive treatment with the hope that he will be healed. We were told he would need a bone marrow transplant, and thanks to the GRACE and LOVE of God, four 100% matched donors were found. Camilo will be admitted into the hospital on August 8th to begin his road to complete recovery and receive this so-long awaited gift from a kind heart that has decided to give a complete a stranger a chance of life.

Since Camilo's diagnosis, he has been unable to work and the family has had to live off of one income. After his transplant, he will be disabled for a period of 6 - 12 months. Funds are starting to run low and the financial strain is being felt. We ask that you please consider helping us during this time of need.
