We are a group of friends supporting Susana from Paros, Greece, who lost her leg to diabetes on 28 of January. Susana has no insurance or family support. She remains in recovery at the hospital in Athens, but is scheduled to be released in the near future. After leaving the hospital she will move to an apartment in Athens where she will continue her recovery. The immediate needs for home recovery will include a paid home health aide to assist her with all the tasks of daily care. In addition, funds are needed for ongoing medications, physical therapy and medical supplies. Most importantly, as healing progresses and Susana strengthens, a prosthetic leg will be required to help Susana regain the mobility she so enthusiastically anticipates.
Dear friends - Any financial assistance you can offer no matter how small, is urgently needed and will be greatly appreciated. This ordeal has been an enormous drain on existing resources and help is needed to fund the next stage of recovery.
Because of economic restrictions in Greece and the fact that Susana does not have a bank account we are sending money through a Swiss friend of hers who will get the money to her.
Thank you very much for your help and prayers!!
