I have worked with many charities and i have realized the shortage of time with a single parents for their children's, medication, extra lessons, aftercare funds as well as furniture for their new places. While residing at a shelter, i came across a lot of children who really needed extra attention as their parents work hard juggling a few jobs to get themselves out of the shelter system. I have been through these systems and i know how hard and tedious it is to be there for parents and children. Parents earn a minimal living wage from which they would still have to save and provide for their children. Getting up from rock bottom is not easy to obtain and it took me two full years to break out!

However with assisting hands, it is possible for one to move out as the pressures would lessen if we work together and not allow each parents to fend for themselves when it comes to furniture, medical bills and aftercare fr their children. Organisations nowadays are more concerned about their bills and salaries. This breaks my heart all the time. Most of the funding does not go to the people within the centers thus i would call potential donors and inform them of a specific case to help and get involved in. I found this to being more safe than receiving funds on behalf of the organisation.

The funds that i want to raise will go to an organisation that helps single parents with homework and a new start to life itself. Sisonke Nathi Group is one of those organisations. They work with school children during the week and single parents over the weekends. Providing parents with development skills and the children within any system, extra classes through other school pupils as well. One of the schools that we work closely with is Saheti which is based in Senderwood, Bedfordview in Gauteng. They supply us with their best students who help other communities.

Help me to be a blessing to others as well. I thank you all.
