Helping Sam Get Healthy Again

My name is Genevieve, and I'm hoping to raise enough money for one of my dearest friends Sam, to undergo some much needed testing and treatments, to finally determine the cause/s of her medical issues. In Sam's own words:

"In May 2022, while walking in a shopping center, I turned a corner and was overcome by my whole world spinning which was extremely scary. The intense dizzy episode lasted a few minutes and then subsided but never completely went away. My neck muscles tightened up shortly after that. I have tried the following so far:

Chiro 13 times

Fascia release

Physio 3 times

Acupressure massage

Voltaren injections

Homeopathic injections for muscle spasms

Blood tests:

Iron

Thyroid

Hormones

Comprehensive eye test

ENT

6 doctors visits with different doctors looking for another opinion

The ENT said is that it's possible that I had a viral infection (Covid is a real possibility) that inflamed my inner ear. And now that the virus is gone, the inflammation has remained. She wants me to continue with physio for my neck which is in constant spasm contributing to the dizziness, but that's R500 a session, and she also wants to do an MRI to rule out brain issues as the cause. My medical insurance won't cover the cost of an MRi, due to not having a diagnosis beforehand. There is medication on top of all of that and my account is now empty. Trying to support my boy on my own and spending thousands on medications and various appointments has created a big problem. I have received help from my mom but she is unable to continue to help."

Sam has had an extremely rough few years, losing her husband in a botched workplace robbery in 2018, to battling various medical conditions, and then losing her beloved father in early 2021 to Covid, all whilst trying to be the best mom that she can be to her incredible son, Connor. Sam does have a job, but it is only a part-time position, and being a single parent, with one small income, no real medical aid, and with a waiting list of 2-3 years at the local government facilities for things like MRI, she needs our help. She's also unable to drive at the moment, so she's unable to work, and the company that she works for, operates on a no-work, no-pay basis, so she currently has no income coming in, and the medical bills are looming.

If you are able to, please would you help my friend go for this much needed MRI, and to also help her cover some of her ongoing medical costs. As both the GoGetFunding website and PayPal do deduct charges, we've set the amount hoping to be raised at $2000, but banking details can also be supplied, if you would prefer to do an EFT.

Sam just wants to live her life to the fullest, to be pain free, to be there for Connor, and to look to the future with excitement.
