During these baffling times, exposure to hunger and health risks is an imminent threat to majority of the poor. However, having a medical insurance in the form of a protective cover is not only essential, but also an enabler. It prepares individuals for any unforeseen medical emergency and also grants a silver lining to the immediate family members.

While many can afford to invest into health insurances and life cover to secure the future of households, how do the marginalized and vulnerable communities live up to the luxuries of insurance?

Through this campaign, we intend to raise genuine funds to help rural women, who are the sole family earners, by means of health insurance cover designed to fight against COVID. For the same, we seek your support to assemble funds for the insurance covers of women micro entrepreneurs belonging to the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. This will cushion not only the women, but also their families from future medical emergencies.

100% of the funds raised through this campaign shall be utilized towards paying the total cost of a group insurance policy which is estimated to be around INR 500,000 ($6,500) for 3000 rural women entrepreneurs.

ARTH is a registered non-profit entity, working for enhancing the livelihoods of women in rural and remote rural India. Our objective is to provide access of facilities pertaining to healthcare, credit, food supplies, etc. to the most vulnerable sections of the society, which are on the brink of collapse.
