HELPING REFUGEES – FROM GREECE TO PARIS

Hello everyone!

Benedetta and I are starting a fundraising campaign to help refugees in Paris, and later in Greece.

For those of you who don't know us: we are Benedetta and Milena, two students from London currently studying in Paris and trying to help in the refugee camps of Stalingrad and Jaurès, in Paris. This fundraising is to help us preserve the health, basic rights and dignity of refugees in Paris and later on in Greece where we plan to volunteer in December.

The situation in Stalingrad and Jaurès is desperate. Help is much needed since there aren't any organised support by NGOs or local authorities and refugees rely on individual volunteers or associations to cover their basic material needs: to get food, blankets, sanitary products...

We are also collaborating with our university association for refugees as part of the 'material needs team', doing distribution and trying to help in any way possible.

This is why we need YOUR support! Several campaigns for clothes and material donations have been launched but we still need funds for covering their most basic needs. These donations would help us buy medicines, blankets and sleeping bags, as well as tea and hot drinks for the cold nights....

Also, we would like to use our work to raise awareness on the situation and the perpetual violations of fundamental human rights that are taking place in these camps.
