September 2018 when a powerful cyclone named 'Mangkhut' (Typhoon Ompong in the Philippines) strike the northern Philippines. The province of Abra is one of the most affected area. (Abra is ranked as 12th poorest province in the Philippines)
I am Memar Ignacio, resident of the municipality of Bangued, province of Abra, Philippines. We created an organization to gather helping hands for the pupils affected by Typhoon Mangkhut in the province of Abra. Our mission is to help those affected pupils rebuild their schools damaged by the typhoon, as well as donating school supplies for their better education needs.
Our current project is to collect funds for the restoration of 24 damaged classrooms, while planning to reconstruct 10 classrooms that were destroyed.
As of January 2019, the funds we have collected is used in reconstruction of 8 destroyed classrooms and $42,000 worth of school supplies are distributed to 5,300 pupils.
We are knocking to your generous hearts, for the quick and immediate restoration of the schools, and bring back the smiles of those precious children. Thank you and may God bless you.
