Helping Pastor Joel Get Home

Joel or Papa and Pastor Joel, for his family and his church who love him very much, is a family man to Pastora Kess Maneclang and to their 3 children, and a part-time pastor in their lively church community in Barangay Gueset, Bugallon, Pangasinan. Pastor Joel served as an assistant pastor in their mother church, the Solid Rock Bible Congregation in Samat, Bugallon, Pangasinan. He and his family started a church planting mission in 2015 and in 2016, through their unrelenting service in prayer visits, evangelism and Bible studies, the Solid Rock Church in Gueset was born. He has been pastoring the church since then together with his family. He is the kind of man you will feel comfortable to be with and laugh with even on your first acquaintance. He gives himself fully to others, and never holds anything back to those who need him, at times, even at his own expense.

On January 21, 2021, Pastor Joel tested positive for the COVID-virus after a swab test. This was after he experienced fever, loss of strength, and loss of taste. On January 25, 2021, Pastor Joel was advised by his doctor to undergo the remdesivir treatment, which is a COVID treatment that's been used in U.K. and in the U.S. It is an effective COVID treatment but a costly one. This trying time has tested each of us, revealing our limitations and breaking points, but we pray that God will touch your heart to extend help to Pastor Joel and his family.
