Helping out our dear Hannah (Ped), Ben and family at a very difficult time.

Lovely friends of Hannah Ped, Ben and their mum, Dee.

You may or may not know that the family have very recently been told some tragic news regarding Dee's health, so soon after her first brave fight against cancer. The unimaginable aggression with which this damned disease has returned, and it's inoperable nature, has meant the family has had to drop everything to be by Dee's side for the next few weeks.

I checked with Hannah that she was okay with me messaging those near and dear to the family, as this is so sudden, so quick and too soon for them to process, let alone spreading the word. But in thinking of what can be done to try and alleviate some of the immediate worries that the family will have neither the time nor headspace to tackle, I wondered if it might be an idea to set up this private crowdfunding page.

With both Ped and Ben being self-employed musicians, we all know how stressful money worries can be when life takes over. And while it is very important to note that both are surrounded by strong and brilliant loved ones looking after them and providing for them-I know that as their network of friends, it might be something we could offer for them all not to have to worry quite so much about the cold reality of finances at a time when they all need each other for immediate and focussed care, love and support.

I appreciate we all have lives with challenges and financial worries, so please don't feel you have to give money. Love and support is, of course priceless. But by keeping this as an 'ongoing' crowdfunder at the moment, which they will have direct access to, if anybody feels like they could spare a donation (honestly however small), I am hopeful it would be a constructive way of offering some immediate help. Even if it gives them a day out together or buys them something to treat themselves with

Lastly, I hope to not cause any embarrassment or denting of anyone's pride. This is not assistance the family have asked for and it's purely my guess that it might alleviate some pressure. And this news is so very recent that I am aware the family might not be ready to process hundreds of messages of sympathy. So if we can approach this gently together, I know that would really be of help.
