Helping out a friend

Some people might wonder why I go through great lengths to build this fund raiser for someone who I'm barely related to, but please hear me out. Regardless of who I am, I'm reaching out to your kind and generous hearts to help my co-worker in her time of need.

Mary Katherine Padilla is a Call Center agent, a loving mother, and a reliable person. She works in the night shift catering to other people's problems and taking care of their needs. She's one of those people who's cheery and positive despite all the things she is going through. Her Personality is strong, and her Will impeccable. She has become my team's mediator, planner and organizer.

But as all good stories go, something does not go according to plan.

She was recently diagnosed with a massive cranial mass. In her terms, she has a "Dragon Ball" inside her skull and this mass has been putting pressure on her brain, causing her senses to degrade.

At first, she was losing her hearing, and last month, her vision started to double. Her doctor asked her to get an MRI scan, and this is what it revealed.

Recently, she reported that her extremities went numb for a few minutes. Luckily, nothing severe happened.

With all the symptoms she is experiencing, she needs to undergo immediate Brain Surgery to remove the mass, and examine it. And this would cost a lot.

The Doctor quoted around 300,000 Pesos ($6000) just for the Doctor's fee alone. The Operation, Medication and Hospitalization expenses may sum up to less than a million pesos. The sooner she gets this operation done, the better, but she can't do this alone.

We are reaching out to all the people out there who can help. By simply sharing this with your connections - friends, family, relatives, co-workers - would mean a lot, and hopefully it reaches the eyes of those kind and generous enough to donate any amount for her cause. She needs to have the operation in the soonest possible time, and the earlier we reach the goal, the earlier we can get her out of harms way.

This is my mission, and I hope it becomes yours too.
