BIODIVERSITY RESTORATION OF HANDENI DISTRICT -TANZANIA

Handeni District is among of the district faced with severe drought due to the excessive cutting down of trees where people doing this for the aim of making charcoal and open new area for cultivation. According to the report of TFS(Tanzania Forest Service Agency) state that more than 1000 Ha of trees are being cleared per year where we could lost more than 1.600.000 of trees.This problem persists many years ago and still proceed due to the economic hardship faced community as well as lack of education about environmental issues. Meanwhile this disaster brought many effects like lack of rainfall which led to decline of crop production,and finally led to poverty,for this situation mostly students start drop schools because their parents are unable to cover school's cost for example to buy school's meal, exercise books, uniform and other school's stuff. We as Inuka Youth Development Organisation we observe this disaster and come up with a solution known as to restore the nature through angloforest project where we could providing trees to the farmers and public school especially fruits trees for the aim of increasing community income as well as school's income by selling fruits and this we could prohibit people to invade forest and cutting down trees and also parents could afford to pay school's stuff and finally we could reduce school's truancy and alleviate Poverty to the community
