Helping Orphan Children

I became aware of the orphan crisis in the world and I wish I knew this a long time ago. I never realized there was an orphan crisis. I came across the above picture on Facebook of an orphan child who was so badly malnourished that I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He was all alone in this world with no one to care for him or feed him. He looked to be about 3 or 4 years old. With that picture God tugged at my heart to do something for orphan children. I found a christian based organization that cares for orphans called Show Hope. They have 5 care centers in China where they do everything from surgery to day to day care. Most of these care centers focus on children with medical needs. Show Hope also raises money to help people adopt children from around the world. My husband and I would like to go on one of their 10 day vision trips and volunteer at one of their care centers called Maria's Big House of Hope in Luoyang China. We can't afford the trip so one of our daughters suggested we try crowd funding to help. If we are blessed with over funding we will either donate the extra to Show Hope or if God continues to move our hearts to adopt we will put the extra towards adoption expenses.
