Helping One Child at a Time

Hello friends!!! Let us introduce ourselves. We are Liel and Mica, two 11 year old 5th graders who want to make a difference. We met in the first grade and we've been best friends ever since. As we are getting older, we started thinking of ways to make this world a better place. What can two 11 year olds do? You might be asking yourselves. Well, LOTS! especially with your help. One thing that came to mind and stood out was helping the children in the foster care system. We did our research and it was very heartbreaking. We couldn't believe these children move from place to place, some even for years before they get adopted. Worst of all, every time they move they put their few belongings in black trash bags!!!

We want to help them make the transition with a little bit of dignity. Even though they have no families, we want them to know that someone out there cares enough to give them a small gift. These children deserve our kindness and love. Together, we found the " Together We Rise Foundation," who developed "Sweet Cases Bundle." These cases consist of a duffle bag with a blanket, teddy bear, coloring book, crayons and a hygiene kit. We get to decorate the outside of the bags with positive messages before we deliver them.

To buy these bags WE NEED YOUR HELP! Our goal is to raise $1,000 (US) to buy at least 40- 50 bags. The more money we collect, the more bags we donate. NO DONATION IS TOO BIG or TOO SMALL. Every single penny will go to this cause. We will do the assembling together with friends and family who want to volunteer and we'll also do the delivery. We will choose a foster care facility. We will be posting updates and pictures. No child in the foster care system deserves to carry their few precious belongings in trash bags. Hopefully, with your help we'll be able to make many children happy and do this for the long run.
