Helping Nicaraguan Development

Hi, I'm Roxana. I've been working as a volunteer and team leader on a water and sanitation programme in rural Nicaraguan communities for the past sixth months with Raleigh International ICS. As a Nicaraguan it has been an incredible experience to help my country and also have an international exchange with other volunteers, all while developing my personal skills.

Now I am beginning a new project with Raleigh International, leading an Expedition programme. In the first phase, we will be excecuting a community project, following up on previous ICS projects. In the second phase, we will undertake an environmental project, protecting natural resources in national parks and 130 million year old primary rainforests. In the third phase, we will do a self sufficient trek through breathtaking landscapes, while developing our leadership and teamwork skills.

I am fundraising to support Raleigh's fantastic work and to cover the costs of the equiptment I will need for our expedition programme.

Hola soy Roxana. he estado trabajando como voluntaria y líder de equipo en un programa de agua y saneamiento en comunidades rurales de Nicaragua los pasados seis meses con Raleigh internacional ICS, como Nicaraguense ha sido una experiencia increíble , ayudar a mi país y también tener un intercambio internacional con otros voluntarios ,todo esto mientras desarrollaba mis habilidades personales.

Ahora estoy iniciando otro proyecto con Raleigh Internacional,liderando un programa de expedición ,en la primera fase estaremos ejecutando un programa comunitario dándole seguimiento a los anteriores proyectos de ICS, en la segunda fase emprenderemos un proyecto ambiental protegiendo fuentes naturales en parques nacionales, en la tercera fase realizaremos una caminata atravez de increíbles paisajes, mientras desarrollamos nuestra habilidades de liderazgo y trabajo en equipo.

Estoy recaudando fondos para apoyar el fantástico trabajo de Raleigh y para cubrir los costos de el equipo que necesito para nuestro programa de expedición.
