A continuous battle of a CKD patient even during COVID-19 Pandemic

Nanay Lourdes is my mother-in-law and currently residing in Pampanga, Philippines. She has Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 secondary to Diabetic Nephropathy per Medical Abstract dated February 8, 2019.

She is already a widow and no source of income though she is a senior citizen receiving a monthly compensation of 500 pesos, but this amount is not given by the government monthly and not enough even to pay for one session of her dialysis. She is to come to the hospital twice a week. Need to commute with her daughter and niece for they do not have a vehicle to use for. Sometimes, they can get a free ride from the barangay's ambulance going to the hospital.(especially this time of crisis) We do not have our own vehicle to use for. She is having difficulty in travelling to the hospital wherein it is far from where she lived. She is blind in one eye due to diabetes and the other eye's vision is blurry. She just turned 69 last April 30.

The financial support coming from her children is not enough to cover her expenses and need to lend money from other people but up until when? Her children also have children to support to. I know that she is a priority because she is their mother but though they wanted to help big time (unless have won the lottery) but because of the meager earnings even combined cannot do the 20, 000 pesos monthly payment for the hemodialysis.

Her daughter went to government agencies but no avail. And we are all doing our best to gather funds for the dialysis that we do not know up until when she needs it.

I am knocking to those who would like to help us in financing her hemodialysis. God will return the blessings you share hundred folds.
