Helping Mother and Child

I am making this campaign to help with funding a family car. First, a bit of back story as to why we need help with funding for a family car.

Recently, I moved back to Germany at the start of November last year and found a decent job January this year. The issue is, this summer I will be starting an Apprenticeship at the company I am at. While this is generally good, as soon as I start my Apprenticeship my pay will go down by almost half of what I am currently earning. I have managed to save a bit of money but nothing really substantial. My wife and daughter were able to join me in Germany as of April and this is where we really noticed the necessity of a family car. I will list a few points as of why.

1. We live in a small town and while there are a decent amount of stores and offices here, the variety is very limited, making it often necessary to go the next few towns over and even to the next biggest city, which is okay every so often. However, I underestimated just how often. Public transit has not really been an option as the operation hours are very strict and don't work very well with my hours at work. I might note, my wife does not speak German and cannot communicate effectively in German just yet.

2. As is right now we have to rely on either walking if the weather permits, or someone to give us a ride. As long as it might take to save for our own car, doing this for years is just not an option.

3. I have looked into loans and outlets for financial assistance, but I don't have a real credit history in Germany. (I moved to America at age 19.) I have never worked here or paid any bills, so I do not qualify for anything at the moment, and it might take a while until I do.

4. My wife has been very independent since she was about 16 years old, when she moved out on her own. She did know what she was getting into when coming here to Germany, but I think she underestimated the culture shock. On top of culture shock and the language barrier, she doesn't have the freedom to do even the simplest of things. l

Like the grocery store, taking our daughter to the park, doctors appointments, etc, without running it by and asking for permission to be driven by a friend or family member who does have a vehicle. Unfortunately, she does have a, history of mental health issues, anxiety and depression. She has been doing amazing for a while now, but the sudden move and the new culture and language, together with the loss of her independence has made things very hard for her.

So in conclusion, this campaign is mainly to help my Wife. To help her become mobile, to help her make sure she can accomplish the things she needs to without depending on some one else's time. To help our family become successful, and maintain a successful life here in Germany. Any and all donations are not too small, anything would help and be greatly appreciated.
