Helping Leigha

Leigha was born with Cerebral palsy,mentaly leigha is around 7yrs of age,Autism,Epilepsy,she's Parially sighted and Doubly Incontinent.Over the years she has gone through a number of operation,but this year on the 16th April she went through 8 in one go.She has had to have both her hips put back in pinned and plated,the inside of both legs cut so her muscels could be stretched,bone taken for both thighs for a live bone graphed to reconstruct both her feet.She is now wheel chair bound and needs to travel in her wheelchair,at the moment i (leigha's mum,Emma) am lifting her in and out of a car which is very dangerous for her as she is 18 yrs old and bigger than myself.We have been told by mobility that the size vehicle we need we can not get through mobility,so we are asking lovely people out there to help us out.This would mean so much to Leigha.

I have not put an end date or amount on this as we are also going to need a profiling bed and other such equipment

Leigha is still not weight bearing and healing very slowly. She had been put on a very strong bone medicine to help the healing. We are back to the hospital every 6 weeks for xrays and check ups . Through all of this leigha remains her happy smiley self and hardy complains. She has got to go back to the hospital in April of next year to have the metal work taken out.so we will be back to square one with the healing.

Leigha still has all metal work inside her as she still isn't healing very well.she is still not weight bearing.still tryng to save for a wav car so she can travel n her wheel chair instead of me keep lifting her.we're back at the hospital next year to talk about maybe taking metal work out.
