Campaign Story
I'm looking to raise some funds to help out Kay. Kay lives in Carlisle and works for Voith, who are in partnership with Virgin Trains.
The floods that recently caused some cancellation to our train services also wrecked Kay's home.
Over 6ft of floodwater ruined everything inside her home. And sadly, as with this time of year, presents to and from family & friends that were under the Christmas tree have all been ruined and are irretrievable. Her car has also succumbed to the water and is now one amongst hundreds in the scrap yard
Kay and her family are now in a hotel and are looking to be located into rented accommodation in January, at the very earliest. The house will not be ready for Kay to start rebuilding her life for at least a year.
So, all I ask is a small donation. £1 is a small amount but will go a long way. Or, give up that morning coffee for a couple of days and donate £5; thank you whatever you donate.
If you have read to this point then would you also help by sharing this with your friends and family.
And lastly, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy, warm and dry, New Year.
Thank you so much,
Stephen Sands
