My name is Mohammed Busttami and I am humbly asking for your help. I became a first-time father just last year. My son, Hashem, just turned 1 year old in June. Shortly after he was born, he started suffering from seizures. My wife and I did everything possible to help him, including extensive tests and doctor’s visits to determine the cause of his seizures. Genetic testing ultimately determined Hashem has CDKL5 deficiency disorder. This disorder is a rare neurodevelopmental condition which causes early onset epilepsy (seizures), low muscle tone and developmental challenges.
Hashem is currently on medications to reduce the frequency of his seizures. He is also in a Rehabilitation Program, which is a series of therapies recommended at least 3 times per week. We are happy to say the medications and therapies are working; however, they are expensive and we have reached a point where we must ask for help in order to continue this regimen.
My wife, Jasmine, and I are humbly asking for your assistance so we can continue caring for our son by providing the medications and therapies he desperately needs in order to offer him the best life possible. We are forever grateful for your generosity in helping Hashem.
