This beautiful senior girl was found simply by chance. Our staff were at a local animal services shelter picking up a demodex pup when this girl time had run out. Our staff passed by her kennel and asked what happened with this gorgeous grey face and we were informed she was being euthanized shortly due to her severe medical needs.
Aurora had been stabbed multiple times before being found by a stranger that called the emergency clinic to have her picked up immediately. Due to not being claimed, her age and the amount of medical treatment she needed the shelter had no other options... Until our staff saw her face.
She deserves the chance at having a happy, healthy pain free golden years. All of her wounds are stapled, and being cared for but it will take weeks of visits and wrapping for the deep gashes to heal properly. She has stab wounds from her head, neck down to the inner and outer of her thighs. She is on pain medication so she is comfortable while her body heals, but this will take time.
She is very overweight so we will need to run a full panel of blood work upon her re-check to rule out cushings and/or diabetes (Both which are very easily managed after diagnosed), but getting her to the road of recovery will be a long-expensive one. However, one she deserves to have!
With the communities help, and support Aurora will recover and find the perfect forever home for her to spend her golden years happily on.
