Hello everyone,
I've created this fundraiser to help pool in money to pay for Eran's medical bills.
He is suffering from a failing digestive system. For the last 3 years his health has rapidly deteriorated, going from being an active outdoors sporty person, to someone usually too sick to leave his bed. In the last year alone, he's lost 24kg.
He's undergone numerous invasive medical examinations, and has had consultations with doctors and specialists. Which have led us to determine that his health problems stem from an inflamed intestinal tract caused by a his pre-existing autoimmune disorder (Ankylosing Spondylitis).
This has resulted in him not being able to process food properly (malabsorption), as well as more often than not, being in terrible pain for prolonged periods of time. During such a time, he feels extreme pain in his abdomen area, as well as severe confusion accompanied with intense migraines.
My goal is to raise €800. This money will go towards:
- Consultation with dietician and gastroenterologist
- Getting the necessary treatment (most likely anti-inflammatory steroid medication for the intestines)
- Follow up consultation to check on the prescribed treatment
If we do raise more than the amount required, this will go into the medication, as it is possible that he would require the medication for a prolonged period of time.
We'd need this money as soon as possible, hopefully by the end of December, to ensure that we can set up an appointment with a patient, and understanding specialist.
