The Project in a Nutshell:

The implementation of K-12 law in the basic education curriculum in the Philippines since 2016 has opened both challenges and opportunities for school stakeholders. Specifically, the introduction of senior high school program has confronted schools with challenges on availability of instructional materials and teacher's pedagogical knowledge and skills on outcomes-based education (ObE).

Responding to these challenges with my overseas teaching engagements, I have seen opportunities to develop instructional materials (senior high school textbooks-products) and train teachers on how to deliver lessons and assess learning under ObE framework.

Call for Opportunity to Help:

To address these challenges, I have decided to seek crowd funders-YOUR HELP which I believe will eventually facilitate the roll out of mass printing for three ELT (English Language Teaching) reference materials for teachers and students. These ELT resources are: Five Techniques for Effective Academic Writing:: A Simplified Guide for Beginners; Writing Academic Research with Ease: A Process Approach for Beginners; and Inclusive Instructional Leadership: In the Context of 21st Century Challenges of Extremism and Cultural Divide.

How can you help and where will your donation go?

You can help by donating to the project. Fund generated from this campaign will exclusively go to printing. Overhead cost is as follows, as per printing specifications:

size: 9x12
cover: c2s 220 lbs, cmyk
inside: book paper 50 lbs, 2 colors
# of pages: 200 excluding cover
quantity: 5,000 copies (3 textbooks @ 1,666 copies each)
price: 3 USD/copy

Total: 15,000 USD (inclusive cover design and lay-out)

The timetable to raise the fund is on or before 12 June 2019, the start of the new school year and distribution/donation to disadvantaged community schools to start a month after.

What do you get for helping this campaign?

You will be acknowledged as backers/ supporters of this project through a dedicated "acknowledgment page" in all textbooks printed. Complementary copies will also be shipped to your registered address if desired.
