HELPING ANN HELP THE CATS OF CYPRUS

I am trying to raise funds for the work my friend Ann Pountey does in helping the Cats in Cyprus. Ann moved to Cyprus 23 years ago and since arriving she has taken it on herself to help the Cats in Cyprus.

It all started when she was walking passed a roundabout and saw a black bin bag moving when she looked inside she found two kittens which she took home and started feeding them calling them Madi and Blue and from that day she has taken on looking after and helping many cats over the years. Ann now takes in stray cats where she lives in Paralimini.

Ann is an amazing lady who i have known for 14 years. At the moment she feeds 18 cats at the back of her house and 15 in the front and also has 8 cats that live inside her house. Ann when she manages to catch the outside cats takes the to the local Vets to be neutered, when neutered they have a nick put in their ear and she then releases them back.

Recently someone left a week old kitten outside the Animal Charity Shop which she took in and is now bottle feeding her name is Susie who is now 3 weeks old and doing well. Ann also bottle fed another kitten that someone left in her front garden and is called Harry and she called him called Harry as she found him in her frot garden where someone left him the day Prince Harry got married.

Last week one of her cats called Polly was hit by a Car and had a broken left Femur who has now been operated on and and she is making a good recovery the operation cost Ann £450.

The money i am trying to raise will help Ann continue to help the Stray Cats she feeds and looks after.
