Campaign Story
Western Michigan University is a national university enrolling nearly 24,000 students from across the United States and 100 other countries., WMU has a thriving international student program. Because these students are from overseas, the student and his/her family bear the entire cost of the education, which is far above what a Michigan/ American residents pays {usually about 3 times the rate}. Lemmy Nyale,a student from Kenya, a Senior Majoring at Petroleum Engineering at Kalamazoo Main Campus, has found himself in financial hardships after the latest terrorist attacks in his country that have disrupted his family sourec of income and therefore his access to funds. He needs to pay off the remainder of this semester's tuition and have some funds to tide him over the fall semester. I am one of his class representatives and he is a hard working and respectful young man making good grades in spite of the turmoil in his life. His current GPA sits at 3,2 . Any amount to help this young man is greatly appreciated.
