Helping a neighbour that has been down on their luck!

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have been living in my small house in a lovely welsh village called Beddau for the last 6 months. I've met and worked with some fantastic people in this short time.

I was talking with one of my neighbours recently and was saddened to find out that she was being evicted from her home due to her landlord going bankrupt. Not a nice situation as it's not her fault and the kids go to local schools, not too much I could do I thought so i did the neighbourly thing and offered a sofa for someone to sleep on if worst comes to worst!

I know the stress had been building as she was being forced to move out before christmas with nowhere to go and it was tough finding somewhere suitable.

Things then got worse!

I found out a few days after it had happened but her son was hit by a truck and taken to hospital http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wale...

The injuries were bad and he was in ICU for sometime but i'm happy to say he is alive despite many injuries and having to have his spleen removed... http://www.healthline.com/health/spleen-removal#Re... He now has to take medication everyday but hey, it could have been worse.

This family I would like to raise some money for has been through some serious hardships this year and it would be nice to raise some money for them to have a nice Christmas and to feel love from the local community and those further afield.
