Walk by FAITH not by SIGHT

Raising a child with disabilities has got to be one of the toughest jobs in the world. Its lifechanging, overwhelming and a blessing all in one. Our son is our angel. He brings light to our world on even the darkest days. He's a fighter. And no matter what challenges he has he doesn't seem to let that get in the way of his happiness. On April 21,2012 our life would be changed forever. Our son michael was born with ONH (optic nerve hypoplasia) causing him to be legally blind, we also found out he has a form of cerebral palsy (hip dyplasia), Diabetes Insipidus (water diabetes)which causes EXTREME urination if you can only imagine the amount of diapers we go through a month ($155/mo $20.95/a box of 96. So about 790diapers or more a month, and since mike is not potty trained he has to wear diapers IF we are able to find ones that fit. He was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism causing him to be 57lbs at just 3years old!!! I have never heard of ANY of these conditions before we had our son and never even knew they existed. So if you could only imagine how all of us as a family must have felt during that discovery. Our life hasn't been the same since. Its a constant battle, every single day from doctors, to specialist, to therapist, to testing, down to our 3 year old child now having to take 4 medications A DAY. Its very overwhelming and can be beyond stressful at times.

We have no outside help, don't really have much of a support system. We only have eachother to depend on and its not enough. For three years now we have struggled to make it and im very surprised and blessed to have come this far. Even if you aren't able to help our family, just simply reading this says a lot about you. That you were kind enough to take a couple minutes out of your day to read our story really touches our hearts. Starting this fundraiser I our last hope. Hopefully someone will understand the difficulty we endure daily and lend a helping hand.
