Helping a Family in Need

First and foremost THANK YOU for taking the time to visit this page.  I have recently learned of a heartbreaking request from the husband of a young breast cancer patient who has just been placed in hospice.

The family has had tremendous financial difficulties over the recent months, they don't have any family in the area, and they are now being faced with the inability to pay for her burial, when that day comes which could be in as little as six weeks.  The patient, husband, and their 12-year old daughter moved to York, ME for work just a few months ago and the husband has since been forced to quit his job to provide fulltime care for his ailing wife. They are relying on community programs to eat, pay rent, and access basic necessities that you and I often take for granted.   As we approach the holiday’s to gather with family and friends, this family will be planning the burial and trying to come up with a way to pay for the costs, which they cannot afford.

I have been so deeply touched by the unthinkable difficulties that this family has endured and will endure in a short amount of time, that I have taken it upon myself to help this family in need. 

While you gather with your families on Thanksgiving and the Holiday's to come, I ask that you hug your loved ones, and not take for granted this beautiful life.  

Any amount will go a very long way for this family; I am personally asking that you find it in your heart to offer a donation to help cover the cost of the burial services.
