Meet Neo

Five years ago, he had a happy family.

He lived a normal life as you do. He went to school, happily playing with his classmates in the plaza every day. He enjoyed every weekend’s activity together with his parents. They went fishing, trekking, amusement parks, and many others. He loved to study and want to pursue arts and design in college.

But something unfortunate event happened that makes his life turned upside down. Neo’s mother died with a lung cancer. His father suddenly lost his job and died with a heart attack.

Now he is alone. All the money kept in the bank were empty. He has no money to support his daily needs. He stopped schooling and sent immediately in the streets to survive. He has no immediate family in the metropolitan. He can’t the find the means to contact other people to help him. So he has no other choice but to dwell on the streets with no food and shelter.

Neo begged every day for food knocking every heart to every people he met to satisfy his hunger. He went to fast food stores and eat left-over food. He settled on a street to sleep on a cold night with a piece of paper on his back. He learned how to smoke and take drugs just to relieve the need for his hunger. He went on to shops to steal things and money.

But every night before he sleeps, Neo dreams of a new life. He always remembers the good days when he had his parents. Every time he can feel the warmth of embrace of his parents, his tears gradually flows freely from tedious eyes.

Yes, Neo is sick and tired of being sick and tired. Even if he cried with blood in his eyes, no one will care for him and his future. He’s tired of asking of help but no one

Neo feels like he has destiny. He has destined to do something great. He realized that he has to do something for the future - for his own family, for his wife and children. He would never allow this kind of situation will be experienced by his future family. He often asked “Why this happened to me?” “How can I get away from this undesirable condition?” "Is this going to be a lifetime experience?"

How can You Help Neo?

The Impact Maker Community is raising funds to build a FREE Computer Skills Training Centre in a container van. A 14-seat training centre that would focus on computer literacy and computer-based skills development courses. An opportunity to give back to the community for the most-needy people like Neo. An opportunity to lift him up and to change his life in a new perspective. An opportunity to start engaging with the community and bring back his self-confidence and self-worth.

Your generosity will provide the students the sufficient knowledge and required experience to prepare them to land a corporate job or do freelancing, or work at home. We’re launching our first course entitled “Be a Professional Graphic Designer: From Zero to Expert By Building 12 Real-World Projects.”

At the end of the training, each student is expected to create the following projects:

We will adopt the T2E “Training to Employment” system to make sure that the knowledge and experience gained from this training will be applied in the real-world. With this on mind, each student will undergo a solid 400 hours of training on the site. In addition, they will complete additional 600 hours on-the-job training to our partnered print and digital agencies to help them prepare in the real-world challenges. These companies will soon absorb and hire our students to support our cause and increase awareness on corporate social responsibility.

A FREE Portfolio website for 3 years will be given to each successful student to enhance their credibility and showcase their sample works online or offline. This will increase their chances to get hired in a corporate work or land a projects with clients via freelancing.

A Personal Identity Starter Pack will be given which consists of Certificate of Completion, printed Calling Cards, Professionally-designed Resume, Cover Letter, effective Email pitches, Proposal Letter, Referral letter, Recommendation letter, Pricing techniques, etc.

Our students will not be left in the battlefield unprepared. A career development seminar with interview skills will be added as BONUS to ensure the students to skyrocket their chances in the interview and get them hired.

A special course on Freelancing Seminar for those students who will opt-out in freelancing or work at home. This will encourage other students to do freelancing or work at home while dealing with clients per project basis anytime, anywhere in the globe.

We understand that most students will not complete the training and OJT simply because they need funds to supply their daily needs. They have to shell out massive money in order to reach our goal. But here in this training, each student will be allotted food and transportation daily allowance to encourage them to finish the training, do OJT, and finally land a job on a corporate world.

We'll invite print and digital agencies to come at our site for a mini Job Fair. They can ask and interview our students for assessing their knowledge and skills about the job offered by these companies.
