Helping a charity school project in Ghana

We are a couple, George and Elaine, going to Ghana in November to volunteer in a small charity in Ghana. We have signed up and realised so many needs about the organisation. The organisation run a school, disability centre for physically challenged children, accommodate and feed poorer children from rural areas of Ghana. The school serve 155 children in the normal school and 35 disabled children.

The need: We are informed about uncompleted construction of classrooms which need urgent support of funds to complete it so children can use it in next academic term in September. The school need permanent water and electricity as well as children walk far away to fetch water from the stream which is not clean but they have no option. In the school the children take lunch everyday, and its lot of responsibility which need support from everyone. The school need computer supply as part of our lessons because although children touched a computer before, practicals are always as drawings of computer on the blackboard for children to look.

Estimated budgets:

*Roofing of classroom wood: 90 pieces =540 EUR

*Roofing sheet 5 bundles =400 EUR

*Windows and doors= 510 eur

*Floor= 420 EUR

*Water= 400 EUR *Electricity= 450

*5 computers= 500 (a computer is 100 EUR)
