HELP ME to SURVIVE, please

Who am I?

I'm a Japanese man who has been working in the IT industry for more than 30 years. I'd been editing and distributed YouTube videos of Open Door Chapel, a Baptist Church. and help spread the gospel.

What am I doing?

Currently, I am building a web app that displays maps, place names, and related scriptures that appear in the Bible, a hymn search web app for searching across more than 20 hymnal books and a Bible study web app that uses Hebrew and Koine Greek lexicons and the Bible. These are nothing to do with ODC. It's my own mission that God leads me to do.

My IT career started with COBOL and mainframes. I'd been assigned to projects such as banking 3rd generation online preparations, city hall computerization, and an electricity company's system renewal. I've experienced mainframes, office computers, personal computers, and Internet-related servers and their languages such as C, C++, PHP, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Objective-C, Swift, and many frameworks. I was also a part-time teacher at the Hokkaido Information University, Faculty of Media-Information in 2003 where I continued to work for 10 years and also learned educational methods.

In 2003, a company in which I was employed decided to close their Sapporo branch for economic reasons. These economic difficulties have worsened due to the pandemic. Now, companies that used to offer "lifetime employment" have had to cut back drastically to avoid bankruptcy.

I decided to be a sole proprietor and established an LLC in the State of Delaware, U.S.A., and I'm working as a freelance IT engineer and an online IT school's mentor.

I have clinical depression and panic disorder, and I'm with a Grade 2 mental disability. My doctor has prohibited me from working. My incomes are a disability pension and public assistance.

Why I need donations?

To be honest, I'm finding it quite difficult to survive from month to month.

There're two reasons, the first one is the number of past debts that I need to pay monthly, and the second one is the inherited debts of my dad. The total amount of these payments exceeds my monthly budget. I'm preparing for personal bankruptcy, but I still have a problem.

It was the first Winter in this room and the room conditions were worse than I'd expected. Mold grew to the flooring by dew condensation and I needed to replace the flooring. The bathroom in this room is at the entrance, so it's very cold. I had a heat shock when I left the bathroom after taking a shower. The stove of the equipment was not hot enough for the size of this room, and even if the temperature near the stove was 20 ° C, the temperature of the kitchen was 16 ° C or less. So I needed to purchase extra heating devices for the kitchen and to prevent the dew condensation.

These additional purchases are not covered by public assistance. Public assistance provides the minimum amount necessary to "live a minimum cultural life" in the Constitution, but the purchase of additional equipment necessary for living and the replacement cost of broken home appliances, etc. Not eligible for payment. As a result, I've lost about 150,000 JPY which is more than I receive from the government and no one will compensate for them. It means that I'd lost a month's income. So I lack 150,000JPY every month, I can't pay for room rent, utilities, etc...

To make the matter worse, My computer has broken down and is almost useless. Also, the iPhone has a depleted battery that needs to be recharged frequently, but recently the battery has begun to swell and will explode if not replaced. I use these for my ministry and volunteering at YV. Without these, I can't continue both. They will need to be replaced ASAP.

To be honest, my bank savings are empty and I have 500JPY in my wallet. That's all I have. I won't be able to pay for room rent and will be kicked out. I can't buy food and drinks. I'm losing vital power and I'll be starving to death.

I don't want to die and eagerly want to survive. So that I might get back on my feet and continue my ministry and whatever work I can, please prayerfully consider this humble request.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” - Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)
