Wolfie is a 7 year old handsome mongrel rescued at the age of 2 by a family residing in Lantau Island. He became the 3rd local rescue of the family and was quickly welcomed by the 2 other furries.

His quick backstory:
He was a dog with trust issues in the beginning, it took our mother almost 3 months to gain his trust by feeding him 2x a day through the gates of a village house he was abandoned at by his previous owner. Because of his aggressive attitude, a lot of local villagers reported him to the AFCD to be removed, once my mother was told of this the next time she went over to feed him, she rushed to their holding shelter to claim Wolfie, this ordeal took lots of paperworks and travelling back and forth just to deem him adoptable. Finally, my mother left with Wolfie and welcomed him into our home. He's since been professionally rehabilitated, trained and loved by the whole family and village neighbours.

What happened?
Around 2 weeks ago, Wolfie started showing minor signs of an illness. As the days went by, he didn't show any signs of getting better. He vomitted a few times, his urine turned dark yellow, he lost his appetite and his body started shaking at random times. We rushed him to the vet for a checkup and have been referred to a 24-hour hospital to do further check-ups and tests. On the 2nd day of his hospital stay for observation, we found out that Wolfie had about a 5cm mass in his bowel area and the vet has considered it to be a tumour growing in his intestine. We are not sure whether it is benign or malignant without having it removed and tested further. Our options were euthanasia or surgery - of course we chose the latter. He is a fun, full of energy 7 year old little boy and he has so much more to live for. He's changed his life around for himself and those around him and he brings nothing but joy to our family.

What we are asking for help with -
For all pets, as we all know, animal medical fees are one of the most expensive fees to cover. Our family isn't financially capable of providing funds for his fees quick enough with the time limit that we have. We are seeking for your help to donate however much you can for Wolfie's hospital fees. His initial clinic fees started at HKD4000 then once we were referred to the 24 hour hospital, we deposited HKD8000 for his first night which included the next days tests and scans as well as his overnight stay, the day after we were told there would be an additional HKD7000 for extra tests he had done, tonight is the night we found out about the surgery he needed done as soon as possible (as with tumours - it's chances of growing is high, which could then result to more complications. Removing it ASAP was the only way this can be done)... His surgery was quoted at HKD25000-30000 not including daily overnight fees, medications, food, etc. We've estimated the total costs to go as much as HKD60000-70000 by the end of Wolfie's hospitalization.

We are reaching out to fellow friends, pawrents and animal lovers to please help us help Wolfie and give him another chance at life. We want nothing but the best for him. Every dollar counts and we are forever grateful for the support, we are fully transparent of the bills and receipts and (if you so choose,) will continously update you all of Wolfie's situation and recovery.
