Life had been challenging for us ever since my mum who turned 52 this year is down with chronic Stem Cell Stroke over 9 years ago.

A condition that takes away her speech, control of limbs and ability to interact with the world. She used to be the chirpiest person with a caring and loving heart. Now she's living her day laying on the hospital bed at home watching TV. She required assistance for every activity including simple task like feeding herself and brushing her own hair.

My dad had passed on about 2 years ago due to undiagnosed cancer at the age of 56, it was the hardest thing I've ever been through.

Our life savings has been used up during this long period of hardship. On good month my mum medication and medical expenses could reach up to $800 per month. As she's not covered under any insurance, we had to pay most of the fee due to low Medisave funds.

This had yet to include her transportation to go to polyclinic for check-up which cost $100 for 2 ways. There are even days where secretly I'm only left with less than $50 in my account knowing that things might happen anytime and I'll not be able to pay for it.

With my mum current situation, I am very blessed to have a faithful and loving helper to be by her side. Her current monthly salary is $700 and she is due to have her home break in which I would have to find a temporary helper for my mum. With me being the only child and considering my current salary and diploma cert, I am barely surviving and is unable to provide more therapy/rehabilitation for my mum to give her hope of getting better as she is still young.

I wish for those who's able to lend a helping hand to donate and give me and my mum hope to see her walk again someday. I also hope that from your contribution, I am able to go for further studies to improve myself for better future.
