Last December, Aubrey was rushed to the hospital and was placed in the ICU due to severe intestinal pains that was previously misdiagnosed as constipation. Upon closer examination, Aubrey was diagnosed with Jejuno-lleal Gangrene Secondary to Mesentric Vascular Occlusion with moderate to severe Vasculitis, portal vein Thrombosis. In an attempt to simplify – A part of Aubrey’s small intestines was not functioning due to a blood clot. It is a severe and potentially fatal illness which called for two emergency surgeries.

Because of this, Aubrey spent most of the holiday season, including Christmas at the hospital. With God’s grace and prayers from her family and friends, Aubrey did recover and was able to leave the hospital just in time to spend new year’s eve with her family. Unfortunately, due to complications from her previous emergency surgeries, Aubrey was rushed back to the hospital last week. She will need another surgery to remove another blood clot.

The above mentioned situation hopefully paints a picture of the financial needs of Aubrey and her family. We are including as well photos of the medical bills for reference.

Here we are, humbly requesting for your kindness and generosity to help Aubrey and her family through this absolutely trying times. We will not be posting a goal amount because there is no price and limitations to generosity. No amount is small or big as every bit helps. Please do not feel obliged as well to donate financially as we do understand that everyone is going through hardships and financial struggles these days – including Aubrey and her family in your thoughts and prayers would also do.

The past year has tested and continues to test everyone’s faith and patience as we go through each of our own battles and struggles throughout this pandemic. With that, some may think that this is not the correct timing for one to reach out for help from others. As we try to find the appropriate words to include in this page, we came along this random but very timely quote from Nancy Gibbs of Time Magazine from an article she wrote in 2009 – “When catastrophe strikes, generosity spikes like a fever.”

Unfortunate events don’t occur on a schedule, hence, there is not really a so called “prefect” or “correct” time for one to ask for help. One asks when a situation calls for it. With that said, we are here, family and friends, humbly requesting for your kindness and generosity to help our dear and wonderful Aubrey Caparro.

Let’s help bring our dear Aubrey back to normal so we can hear her thunderous laughs that are instant mood boosters. Thank you all for your time and generosity.

If you would like to donate directly to her, you may do so in her GCash account:
