Campaign Story
In a taxi accident killing 4 people at the scene, 7 year old Zimbabwean boy Takunda Prince Dzenga was seriously injured on Tuesday, 14th May on his way to school. Prince, as he goes by, is my friend and employee Tamah's little boy. Tamah works for us helping with the running the household and Entrepreneurial Network of my business Once More, to support her 2 children back home in Zimbabwe.
Prince suffered deep lacerations in his head, with multiple skull fractures, a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs. He is currently admitted in Harare General Hospital having already had one surgery to tend to the severe head wounds, and will require another surgery in the chest area due to the complications of the break in the ribs. Doctors at the general hospital have advised the family to urgently move Prince to the private hospital in Harare for his second surgery and so that his injuries can be better cared for and attended to.
We are asking for help, no matter how small, to aid Tamah's family back in Zimbabwe to get Prince the care he needs to recover from these serious injuries, and if possible to allow her to travel back to Zimbabwe to be with her little boy. This fundraising will also hopefully help cover the financial needs during the time Tamah will be unable to work, as she is the breadwinner for her family. Tamah's Father (Prince's Grandfather) and Sister (Prince's Aunt) are Prince's only support in Harare (and are currently not employed. Sadly the children's father passed away suddenly a few months ago, and without this help, Tamah will be financially unable to return to Zimbabwe to be with her child or give him the treatment he needs.
