Zimasa was born in the Eastern Cape, in a village called Engcobo, but she grew up in Western Cape. Here she went to primary and secondary schools, where she passed her grade 12 in 2008. She is a mom of two beautiful daughters that stay with her in Makhaza, Khayelitsha.

Zimasa is a seamstress and started to learn the basics of sewing after her sister graduated from the Learn to Earn Centre. Her sister was kind enough to teach her how to use her sewing machine and the basics on how to sew. Zimasa tries to keep up with local trends and uses them in her creations. To Zimasa, being a seamstress is more than just a job or a means to put food on the table, she loves doing it and would really like to get her sewing business off the ground and be successful.

We would really like to help Zimasa achieve this dream! But to achieve this dream funds are needed. These funds will be split into two, one part will be to upskill Zimasa and help her with the basics on how to manage her business and the second part will be to purchase materials in order for her to increase her stock range.
