Help Younis Hear

I’m writing this on behalf of my lovely Nephew <3

My Name is Younis. I was born profoundly deaf. That’s something that i didn’t choose, and definitely wasn’t expected by my parents.

They have been struggling ever since they found out to make sure I have a chance in the world. They wish I could be the greatest person in the world, my grandparents wish I could be an engineer, but all i wish is to be normal, to hear.

With my unilateral cochlear implant and speech therapy I can now learn and say some words at 4 years old, yet I am still way behind my peers of the same age. However, with another implant I can definitely be better and double my chances at speech and language learning.

With the 2nd implant, I can learn easier, locate the sound accurately, hear in crowded and loud places, and improve my speech. Maybe this could help me become an engineer, diplomat, musician, or maybe it’s none of these, but most importantly, I will hear you!

I know my parents carry a huge burden to help me become better and integrate normally with the society. I hope that one day I can make them proud. This can only happen with you support to help me get my second ear. Whether you contribute or share the cause with your friends, it will bring me closer to the world, and it will change my whole life.

انا اسمي يونس. اتولدت بضعف سمع شديد. دي طبعا حاجة انا مخترتهاش و اهلي متوقعوهاش خالص لكن ده اللي حصل

قعدوا يعافروا من ساعة ما عرفوا عشان يكون لي فرصة في الدنيا. هم حلمهم يشوفوني احسن واحد، و جدودي نفسهم اطلع مهندس، لكن كل اللي انا بتمناه اني اطلع طبيعي، اطلع بسمع.ويمكن ساعتها هعرف اختار انا عايز اطلع ايه

الحمد لله بعملية زراعة قوقعة في ودن واحدة و جلسات التخاطب انا دلوقتي اتعلمت شوية كلمات و انا عندي 4 سنين. لكن لسة متأخر عن الاطفال اللي في سني. بس لو عملت زراعة قوقعة في ودني التانية ان شاء الله هقدر اتطور اسرع و ازود فرصتي في اتقان المهارات اللغويه

القوقعة التانية بتساعد على تأهيل اسرع، معرفة اتجاه الاصوات، اسمع في الاماكن الزحمة و احسن نطقي للكلمات. و ممكن كمان يساعدني اطلع مهندس، دبلوماسي، موسيقار, ممكن ولا حاجة من دول, بس اهم حاجة اني هسمعكوا

,انا عارف ان عيلتي شايلين حمل كبير عشان يخلوني احسن و اعرف اندمج بسهولة في المجتمع و بتمنى اني في يوم اقدر اخليهم فخورين بيا
