Help Young Mothers who are victims of an Arson Attack!

What is your next move if you lost it all?

On March 9 at 2:30am the strong smell of smoke woke Kirzia Sargent out of her sleep. She had been sleeping in a room with her 3 kids when all of a sudden her breathing became difficult because of smoke inhalation. She had soon noticed the sounds of objects burning when she realized that her apartment was on fire. Kirzia yelled out to her sister Jermeri Dorsett that they were in danger. Jermeri, frightened by what she was witnessing, grabbed her son and the 2 sisters with their children exited the apartment for safety.

The siblings watched in horror as everything they owned went up in flames. However, it wasn't long before they realized that other homes within the block were on fire. Thankfully a good samaritan called for firefighters and further destruction of property was avoided without the loss of a single life. Desperate for answers on what could have caused this fire, the 2 siblings later found out it was the result of an arsonist attack . Kirzia and Jermeri along with a few of their neighbors were innocent victims of a man with a vindictive spirit who wanted to get back at the owner of the apartments. This individual showed no concern or respect for life when he carried out his assault. The assailant is still on the loose but police are hard at work trying to track him down.

Now Kirzia and Jermeri along with their 5 children are homeless and in serious need of your assistance. The children includes a 7 month baby boy, 8 month baby boy, 3 year old boy, 5 year old boy and 8 year old girl. The young mothers ages 24 and 28 have not only been struggling under the economic recession caused by the covid-19 pandemic but now are innocent victims of a fire attack. We are asking that whatever you may be able to give that you feel will assist this family in their time of need is greatly appreciated.
